The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of bodyweight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement in this area.
