The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is especially true due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force 3 times greater than the other. This can result in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps to limit these effects.
