The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts, as it is affected by body mass transfers during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other. This causes the chassis to flex, as well as deformation and torsional twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement in this area.
