A car’s chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced when the body mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or sharp acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis or body twisting and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed for installation on the Toyota MR2 II (W20). It is secured at 4 mounting points.
