The car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsion of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex while cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to provide additional body support at the mounting position.
