The car body is subjected to heavy loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This leads to greater twisting and deformation of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting in corners can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing interior chassis brace helps increase body rigidity at the mounting position.
