The chassis is the part of the vehicle that is subjected to the greatest loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
Suitable for: BMW 7 IV (E65/E66/E67).
