The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the forces on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side due to weight transfer. This causes the chassis to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can lead to poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps increase body rigidity in the mounting area.
