The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or firm acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause up to three times more force on one side of the vehicle than on the other. This causes the chassis to twist and the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower brace helps increase chassis stiffness in the mounting area.
