The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can result in a load up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes considerable chassis flex, or deformation and torsion of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce these effects by providing additional support for the chassis. The URML4-1733 model has 4 mounting points.
