The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is especially noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes considerable chassis flex or body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is intended for the 2.4D 4WD and 2.7 4WD engines.
