The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass to one side of the vehicle can result in up to three times more force being transferred than to the other side. This can cause significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area of the body.
