A car’s suspension is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is increased suspension twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Body twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear anti-roll bar with a diameter of 18 mm is designed to improve the vehicle’s lateral stability.
