A vehicle’s suspension is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads when driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater chassis flex, body deformation and torsional loads, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear anti-roll bar is designed to reduce these effects and improve control of chassis loads.
