The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can result in up to three times more force being transferred than to the other side. This causes significant chassis flex or deformation and torsional twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear anti-roll bar, with a diameter of 23 mm, is designed to reduce body roll and improve the vehicle’s behaviour during dynamic driving.
