A car’s body is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
