The vehicle’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the vehicle’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
In some cases, load transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can consequently lead to the tyres losing grip.
