The car’s chassis is subjected to heavy loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and firm acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass to one side of the vehicle can create up to three times more force than on the other side. This causes greater chassis flex and body deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear anti-roll bar helps limit body roll and improve the vehicle’s behaviour in corners.
