The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This can result in substantial chassis flex or deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear anti-roll bar is designed to reduce these effects.
