The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant deformation and flexing of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can lead to poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to reduce these unwanted loads on the chassis. It attaches to 2 mounting points.
