The rear lower chassis brace helps limit body twisting and increase vehicle stiffness during dynamic driving.
The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration due to the transfer of body weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
- Design: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 4
Suitable for: Ford Escape III (CD4), Ford Kuga II (DM2).
