The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation, body twist and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twist when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower brace helps further stiffen the chassis and reduce its twisting.
