A car’s chassis is heavily loaded while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater twisting and deformation of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps reduce this deformation and improve body stiffness.
- Design: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
- Suitable for the 3.0 V6 engine with 2-wheel drive
Suitable for: Jaguar S-Type I (X200).
