A car’s chassis is among the most heavily loaded parts of the vehicle, especially due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight can create forces on one side of the vehicle that are up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes increased chassis flex or deformation and body torsion, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase body rigidity and limit its flex.
- Design: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Kia Carens III (UN).
