The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other side. This causes chassis twisting or body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and limit unwanted body movement.
