The vehicle chassis is one of the most highly loaded parts, as it is affected by the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes considerable chassis twisting or body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support for the rear of the body and reduce its twisting.
