The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and flexing of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
