The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce this type of body flex. It attaches to 2 mounting points.
