The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts, as it is affected by weight transfer through the body during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than the load on the other side. This causes significant chassis flex, deformation and torsional loads on the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points of the rear suspension and reduce unwanted body flex.
