A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of bodyweight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. The result is significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This brace is designed to provide additional support for the lower rear section of the chassis.
