ACL Race main bearings with Calico CT-1 coating use a dry film lubricant to reduce friction and abrasive wear. The coating provides intermittent dry lubrication and is not affected by dust or dirt.
These bearings are engineered for the demanding conditions of high performance engines. CT-1 improves embedability, chemical and corrosion resistance, and helps protect the crankshaft during intermittent oil starvation.
- Calico CT-1: dry film lubricant with a low coefficient of friction
- Corrosion protection and resistance to oil and fuel
- Improved embedability allows debris contaminants to embed in the bearing
- Typical coating thickness for engine bearings: 0.00025–0.00030 inch or 6–7.5 microns
- Shown reduction in oil temperature of 8–11 °C or 15–20 °F
Suitable for: Ford Falcon VI (BA) / VI (BF) / VIII (FG).
Engines: Unspecified (ALL). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
