ACL Race main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for high-performance engines operating at higher RPM. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay plate, precise wall tolerances and improved bearing retention in the housing.
3/4 grooved main bearings optimize the bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming a hydrodynamic oil film.
- Trimetal construction with a high-strength overlay plate and reduced thickness
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Flash plating eliminated on the back for improved heat transfer and housing grip
- 3/4 grooved main bearings for optimized oil flow
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
