ACL Race main bearings for Ford 4.0 SOHC I6 / Ford 4.0 / Barra 4.0

ACL Race Series main bearings are tri-metal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves bearing lining support and bearing retention in the housing.

The set includes ACL Race Series main bearings. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.

• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
• 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
