ACL Race Series main bearings are tri-metal engine bearings designed for higher loads and higher RPM conditions. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay plate, increased crush and tight, consistent wall tolerances.
The design improves bearing retention in the housing, heat transfer through the bearing and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films. The set includes ACL Race Series main bearings.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- No flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and maximum grip between the bearing and housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize load-carrying surface area and oil flow
- Enlarged ID chamfers to accommodate large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
