ACL Race main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for high-performance use and higher RPM conditions. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay with tight, consistent wall tolerances.
The main bearing set is designed to support bearing retention, heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films in demanding applications.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Flash plating eliminated from the back to improve heat transfer and maximize grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
- Enlarged ID chamfers where required for large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Engines: FB20, FB25, FA20, FB16, FA24, 4U-GSE (FA24F, FA20D, FA20C, FA24D, FB20, FB25, FA20, FA20F, FB16, FA20E, 4U-GSE). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
