ACL Race main bearings are trimetal bearings designed for operation at higher RPM. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports consistent bearing performance under demanding conditions.

The construction includes features for improved bearing retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films. The set includes ACL Race Series main bearings.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip between the bearing and its housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
• 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
