ACL Race main bearings are tri-metal engine bearings designed for engines operating at higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports increased durability at high engine speeds.
The set includes an ACL Race Series main bearing set. The construction is designed to support efficient oil flow, reliable bearing retention and consistent clearances.
- High-strength overlay plate: reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
- Increased crush: for improved bearing retention in the housing.
- No flash plating on the back: for improved heat transfer and increased grip between the bearings and housing.
- Increased eccentricity: to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- 3/4 grooved main bearings: to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings.
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances: to help maintain consistent clearances.

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
