ACL Race rod bearings are tri-metal bearings for engines operating at higher RPM. The combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves fatigue resistance and bearing retention in the housing.
The construction supports efficient heat transfer, consistent clearances and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films at high RPM.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for better support of the bearing lining and improved retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Flash plating eliminated on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
