ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports consistent performance of the bearing surface.
The set contains ACL Race Series rod bearings. The construction includes features for improved heat transfer, bearing retention in the housing and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip between the bearings and housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
