ACL Race rod bearings for BMW N20 / N26

ACL Race Series trimetal rod bearings are designed for higher RPM conditions and demanding engine operation. The combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering improves support for the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.

The BMW N20 / N26 set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings with 0.025 mm extra clearance. STD, +0.025 mm, −0.025 mm, −0.25 mm and −0.50 mm versions are available according to the selected variation.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention
• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip between the bearing and housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
