ACL Race rod bearings for BMW N63 / S63

ACL Race Series rod bearings are tri-metal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering is intended for high-performance engines.

The set includes rod bearings with features that improve bearing lining support, retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs for improved bearing lining support and bearing retention
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
