ACL Race rod bearings for Ford Boss 5.4 / Modular 5.4 / Windsor

ACL Race rod bearings are a trimetal design for engines operating at higher RPM. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness to improve fatigue properties.

Hardened steel backs improve support for the bearing lining and help retain the bearing in the housing. Increased eccentricity compensates for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming a hydrodynamic oil film.

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
