ACL Race Series tri-metal rod bearings are designed for demanding operating conditions and higher engine RPM. Their construction combines high strength, precise tolerances and improved bearing retention in the housing.

The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings. The design supports a stable hydrodynamic oil film and more efficient heat transfer through the bearing.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention
• No flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip between the bearing and its housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
