ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for high-performance applications operating at higher RPM. Their construction combines high strength, precise tolerances and improved bearing retention in the housing.
The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings with 0.025 mm (0.001″) extra clearance compared with the standard specification. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming a hydrodynamic oil film.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances for maintaining consistent clearances

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
