ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions. The combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering improves fatigue resistance and bearing retention in the housing.

This con rod bearing set from ACL Race Series is designed for performance engines and consistent bearing clearances.

• Overlay plate: high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Backs: hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to support the bearing lining and assist with retention in the housing
• Retention: increased crush for improved bearing retention
• Heat transfer: elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
• Geometry: increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
• Tolerances: tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
