ACL Race tri-metal rod bearings are designed for demanding operating conditions and higher engine RPM. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay, steel backing and increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming a hydrodynamic oil film. Tight, consistent wall tolerances help maintain consistent clearances.
- Tri-metal construction with a high-strength overlay plate and reduced thickness
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention
- Increased crush for improved retention in the housing
- No flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip
- Increased eccentricity to assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Engines: Theta II 2.0T, Theta II 2.4, Theta II 2.0, Theta II 2.4 GDI, Theta 2.4, Theta 2.0 (G4KH, G4KF, G4KC, G4KJ, G4KA, G4KD, G4KE, G4KL). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
