ACL Race rod bearings are tri-metal engine bearings designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. The product is a con rod bearing set from the ACL Race Series.
The construction combines a high-strength overlay plate, hardened steel backs and features that improve bearing retention in the housing and heat transfer through the bearing.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to improve support of the bearing lining and retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back to improve heat transfer and maximize grip between the bearing and its housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
