ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering is developed for the demands of high-performance engines.
The construction features a strengthened overlay plate, improved bearing retention in the housing, and properties that support heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films. The set contains ACL Race Series rod bearings.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
Suitable for: Nissan 350Z I (Z33), Nissan 370Z I (Z34), Nissan 400Z I (RZ34), Nissan Crossover I (370GT), Nissan Fuga I (Y51), Nissan Skyline VI (HV37), Nissan Stagea II (M35/NM35).
Engines: VQ35HR, VQ37VHR, VR30DDTT. Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
