ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for demanding operating conditions at higher RPM. Their design, metallurgy and engineering are combined to support consistent bearing performance.
The bearings feature a high-strength overlay plate, hardened steel backs and increased crush for improved retention in the housing. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- Trimetal construction with a reduced-thickness high-strength overlay plate
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Flash plating eliminated on the back for improved heat transfer and grip
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
Suitable for: Porsche 911 991.
Engines: MA1.71. Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
