ACL Race Series trimetal rod bearings are designed for operation at higher RPM. The combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports demanding engine operating conditions.
The set includes rod bearings with features that improve retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of a hydrodynamic oil film.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and assist in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
